Hello!
My name is Abbey Crank, and I’m a 25-year-old graduate from Huntsville, Alabama.
Recently, I graduated with a Master of Public Administration. In addition to my master's degree, I also earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organizations and Community Governance.
In 2022, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn for the first time with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism along with a minor in Psychology.
My Story
I always knew I wanted to make a difference growing up... big or small. Writing slowly became the center of my passion for change, partnered with a love for DSLR photography. Before finding my way back to graduate school, I took on the world of journalism and daily news. Telling and photographing people's stories blossomed into awards from the Alabama Press Association and The Associated Press picking up a few of my pieces. You can find my writings at Opelika-Auburn News, The Observer, AL.com, U.S. News & World Report, The Daily Press, The Virginia Gazette, and much more. While I adored all of the connections I made as a journalist, I felt the need to do more. Telling someone's story is one thing, but helping them along the way seemed much more impactful and fulfilling. From this revelation, I chose to make the jump and apply to Auburn's Master of Public Administration program. I can honestly say that the professional tools, mentorship, and supportive learning environment at Auburn equipped me with the skills to pursue a career in public service.
When I'm off the clock, you can find me at any local coffee shop writing about anything and everything. I love to spend time with my three dogs, take pictures, and watch reality tv shows at all hours of the night. Auburn will always have a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to use my education to make my mark in the world.
Contact
I'm always excited to tackle new business adventures, whether that's in journalism, public relations, or public administration.
